Chiropractic Neurology focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders involving the musculoskeletal and neurological system, without the use of drugs or surgery. Functional Neurology is a specialty of clinical neuroscience which is based on the principles of neuroplasticity. The Brain and central nervous system can be transformed to work more efficiently and even regenerate.

The spinal column surrounds the spinal cord, communicating vital information from the brain to the body, and vice versa.  It is the network of communication that keeps us alive and healthy.  Virtually every cell in the human body is controlled by the nervous system in one way or another, so we must take care of it, by taking care of our spine.  When a Chiropractic Neurologist performs a chiropractic adjustment, our goal is not only to change the joint structure at that level, but also to change the conduction of nerve signals that connect that body part with the brain, as it is the ultimate controlling center of every tissue in the human body.

“Brain and body patterns must be interconnected, if not, dysfunction occurs. You can change the brain, nervous system and its connections-this is known as Neuroplasticity.  We utilize this ability of the body to restore normal function to areas of the brain and nervous system that are functioning at a low level.  Chiropractic Neurology detects these broken patterns and reconnects them.  By combining chiropractic care, neurology and physical rehabilitation, we are able to make changes not only in the dysfunctional joints, muscles and surrounding tissues, but also in the brain and nervous system that are controlling them.  Diagnosing the level(s) where the problems are occurring allows us to reconnect these structures and allow the human body to function in a symptom-free, healthy state.”

This understanding allows us to diagnose, treat and alleviate many conditions relating to, and beyond the regular scope of chiropractic care.  This is true holistic healing as virtually every cell in the body is controlled by the nervous system.  It allows us to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients, whether it is in our office, or a referral to another Medical Professional.  Our goal is to get every patient well,  regardless of whom or what facilitates the path to recovery.

We strive to complete our treatment plans on time and without lengthy, ongoing treatment.  Our front line expertise of the nervous system and musculoskeletal system is extremely important when diagnosing and treating complex health conditions.
